Bagatelle Bakery: A Delightful Bakery and Café Experience in Wichita

We stumbled across Bagatelle Bakery while we were looking for a vendor for our wedding cake and we were so glad we did. It was absolutely delicious! We did cheesecake, lemon cake, and strawberry cake for our three tears. Probably the best wedding cake we have ever had and it was absolutely beautiful, everything we asked for and more! Thank you so much!

This is a Wichita institution and it is easy to see why. Everything we have had from here has been amazing! We make it a special treat to go pick up breakfast pastries here on occasion, but the bread and cakes are also great. They treat our kids so well too and sometimes offer them a cookie (which are always super cute). We feel like going to a friend's house when we visit because we are treated so well.

Hidden gem! This place makes you feel like you stepped back in time. Service was outstanding, all the ladies were so nice and answered all the questions! Bri helped me and she gave me lots of great ideas on things to try when I come back! Very helpful and appreciated!! Defy will be back! I already posted it on FB and sharing the love!!

Words can’t express what an exceptional restaurant that Bagatelle is!! My family and me have been coming to Bagatelle for decades! Whether it be getting our delicious cakes to celebrate birthdays, graduations or just because… we can always count on the fact that the food is going to be delicious!! The yummy fattoush salad, quiche, soups of the day… the quality is always outstanding!! This local treasure is my favorite place!! Kasey is extremely helpful, kind and always going out of her way to make sure each customer is happy!!! Thank you!!

UPDATE 01/03/2026: OUTSTANDING ACCOUNTABILITY & GENUINE CARE I am updating my previous negative review because the owner Clare reached out to me directly to make things right. She was incredibly sincere and transparent, explaining that she has been running the bakery entirely on her own following the passing of her husband. ​She took full responsibility for the communication and quality issues I experienced. To rectify the situation, she immediately arranged to have a fresh, guaranteed sugar-free cake delivered to my parents’ house today. It is rare to find a business owner who reaches out with such honesty and heart. I truly appreciate her dedication to her customers during such a difficult personal time and am happy to continue supporting this local business. - ORIGINAL REVIEW (Father's Day) --- I ordered a sugar free cake strawberry cake for father's day and it was beautiful and tasted delicious! I will order again.

Absolutely amazing staff. My fiancé and I went in looking to get sour dough starter for his aunt and ourselves. We have never made regular bread, let alone messed with sourdough! One of the bakers in the back came up front and took her time to explain how to use it that day if we wanted, feed it and everything. The (I assume) owner even gave us bread to take home and try. They were so kind to us, but also every interaction I could hear was positive and kind. The bread we got was so good, we are already planning a trip back to try out more of their items. Definitely recommend this place.

Wow! This place is such a hidden gem! Our group was beyond impressed. All of the food was soooo good, do not miss the Manoushi or the cinnamon rolls! I don't think you can go wrong with any of the bakery items either. If you visit in the fall we decided the pumpkin bread was the best we have ever had. The staff is really nice and I am so thankful they are sharing their Lebanese heritage and food with Wichita!

Their customer service is exceptional! Very kind and professional when we visited. They offered coffee while we’re waited for our food and when they brought it out they gifted us some tasty cookies. This is exactly how it should be with a mom and pops shop! We will definitely be back..
